About Hetauda City
An industrial city that lies in the middle part of Nepal, is a
home to Nepalese of many casts including Tamang, Gurung, Tharu,
Chhretti, Newar, Magar, Chepang, Rai. About 46% of the people
here are Tamangs. The Hetauda city is the headquarter of
Makwanpur district (2426 Sq. Kms.). Hetauda is known as a clean
city in Nepal. Local programs of the municipality of Hetauda
with support from the people have made this city one of the
cleanest city in Nepal. This is the city where plastic bags have
been banned. The main streets are full of green trees parallel
to both sides of roads, which add to the elegant of the city.

How to get there?
Drive to Naubise from Kathmandu, then take the Tribhuwan Rajpath
(Highway), one of Nepal's most spectacular steep highway for
viewing hillsides and Himalayan range. Alternatively take the
Mugling-Bharatpur-Hetauda route for a less daring drive! A visit
to Terai region is incomplete without visiting Hetauda.

Visit Dharan - another beautiful city of Nepal. Go to Dhankuta
or Ilam - Driving to this region is outstanding, roads virtually
meet the clouds. You will love the walks in the tea gardens and
view of Himalayas from there.
